MEET THE HOST: YURI!

Did you know that Yuri made the sculpture that is now in the center of Maras’ Main Square? He is a recognized local artist, eager to receive tourists and teach them his skills. Since he was a child, he was passionate about arts and won many awards and contests. Later on, he studied Artistic Education in Bellas Artes University in Cusco, and since then he dedicated himself to his passion.

Yuri, an artisan and art teacher, will show you his knowledge in pottery and paintings during a 4 hr workshop. Get inspired by your creativity! Mold your own ceramics with Andean designs and take them home as souvenirs. After that, you will learn typical painting techniques of the region. Portrait vivid landscapes or feel free to make your own creations. Return home feeling as an artist and take your painting with you as a memory of this beautiful experience!

Includes: Local guide (Spanish), English translator (optional), activity supplies, transportation.

– Umbrella or rain coat (especially during rainy season from November to April).
– Sunblock.
– Comfortable shoes

Charming town founded in colonial times. It’s characterized by having adobe houses, white walls with tile roofs and narrow streets of stone and mud. From the Main Square you can appreciate beautiful snowy mountains.
